Through this project, Tarshito reveals the result of his artistic relationship with the beloved Mother India and he offers to the public a series of artworks that embrace and blend the endless traditions of the Indian territories in which the Sacred is still alive.
To Tarshito it is a journey that lasts more than 40.
The selection of works proposed for this project is marked by 20 stages / chapters of a journey started in the early 1980s and never completed. The title of this artistic project is “ T.A.M. TARSHITO’S ARTISTIC MELA – a Love story between India and Italy ” and it should be seen as a tribute to Tarshito’s love story among the territories where he has made an endless variety of artworks that, thanks to their complexity and multiplicity, open new ways and new opportunities to celebrate the meeting (MELA in sanskrit) between cultures and a way of thinking belonging to distant geographic areas.
The artistic production of Tarshito is based on the reciprocal dialogue between artists and their multicolored techniques, between traditions and rituals, between Spirit and Art.
Here is the list of Indian territories crossed by Tarshito during the last years, these are the places of origin of the numerous works of art that Tarshito melted each time with symbolic elements and participative enthusiasm.
For each collaboration Tarshito had, he realized many artworks, but in this list, he is showing only one artwork representative of the particular tradition, if anybody is interested in viewing more please don’t hesitate to contact Tarshito for further inquiries.
