“The Camp of the Wayfarers in Love”
“The Camp of the Wayfarers in Love”, is a continuation of “The Path of the Wayfarer in Love”, In which Tarshito travels around the world to complete a 10,8 metres long painted scroll, with traditional artists/artisans he meets during his travels. A collective project aimed at artistically meeting with custodians of traditions and ancestral values, in which Tarshito travels to other countries to collaborate with artists from different cultures creating artworks in the form of painted tents..
“The journey has as its goal the search for the Soul, which can be found both everywhere and inside of all of us” – Tarshito.

The project of the Path of the Wanderer in Love is proceeding forward and Tarshito continues his work in the company of the painter Son Oe Ja. In the following photos the work being completed at the Bomunsa Temple in Seoul.
India – JULY 2018
The kalamkari art is a technique hailing from Andrha Pradesh (South India), it is a very ancient method, still used today in the cities of Srikalahasti and Machilipatnam. Kalamkari art has been for centuries the domestic occupation of women and rural artisans. Srikalahasti is a small city located in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh where even today the artisans continue to paint according to this ancient tradition. The style of Srikalahasti is characterized by freehand drawing: the painting process begins with a specific treatment of the cotton fabric which is prepared by mixing a mordant made of castor oil and sodium bicarbonate. After the preparation of the support, the craftsman begins to trace the outlines of the work with a black color called “kasami”. The colors, used for the next step to fill the black outlined sketch, are usually those obtained from natural plants: indigo, green, red and yellow.
Perù – DECEMBER 2017
In these days Tarshito is traveling to proceed forward with the “Path of the Wanderer in Love” and begin his collaboration with traditional Peruvian artists. The artistic path this time winds along the Amazon Art and will see Tarshito, protagonist of another stage of his artistic pilgrimage around the world. The meeting with the communities of Cantagallo in Lima and with the Yagua tribe in the North of the Amazon is the basis for creating new artistic opportunities and for continuing the Path of the Wayfarer in love.

Siamo giunti alla seconda tappa di questo viaggio straordinario, lo scorso Ottobre 2017, nello stato del Madhya Pradesh, in India, Tarshito ha lavorato con un gruppo di artisti Gond.
L’incontro di Tarshito con l’artista Venkat Shyam ha segnato l’avvio del secondo pellegrinaggio del “Sentiero del Viandante Innamorato”, l’opera adesso è pronta per proseguire il viaggio e affrontare la prossima tappa di questo eccezionale itinerario Artistico: il Perù.
Le Tappe del Viaggio – Luglio 2017
Da luglio 2017 Tarshito ha intrapreso un viaggio attorno al mondo in cui, assieme ad artigiani e ad artisti locali tradizionali, ha iniziato a realizzare un’opera d’arte itinerante, simbolo di un pellegrinaggio artistico e di unità fra popoli e culture.
Il viaggio è iniziato a Luglio, presso la comunità Wixarica di Guadalupe Ocotàn, Messico. Assieme al signor Saul Eleuterio Carrillo, esponente dell’arte Huichol, Tarshito ha iniziato questo cammino fra riti e tradizioni antiche.
Le immagini qui proposte sono la testimonianza della prima tappa del pellegrinaggio artistico di Tarshito e testimoniano gli inizi del lavoro sul rotolo initolato: The Path of the Wayfarer in Love, il Sentiero del Viandante Innamorato.
